New, bold music expressions have been emerging out of the neighborhoods of Cairo and Ramallah, but no matching fresh journalism is there to reflect on that. The world is praising the sound of podcasts and we are yet to locate compelling podcasts in Arabic. And while the global media landscape is racing to win the social media battle for attention, many in the Arab world are lingering behind. But some media outlets in the region are hitting the right questions, and experimenting with some interesting attempts to answer.
