Whether it’s a report on Kremlin-backed campaigns, or anti-vaccination activism, our new-found awareness of how networks coordinate and disseminate information, particularly online, has come in the form of vivid and present-day examples that are close to home. Online, harmful information can spread like wildfire. Governments are increasingly intervening, pushing private companies to remove sources of disinformation and identify content which may be untrue.
